“Implicitly from what you say, I understand that the forces that are threatening the right to vote are conservative. So the right part of the politics in the US, right? Generally, yes. I mean, the Democrats do it a little bit too. Like, for example, when we talk about partisan gerrymandering, the practice of drawing lines when we create a district map, the Republicans where they control draw lines to help themselves stay in power, the Democrats where they control draw lines to help them stay in power. So the Democrats aren’t absolved from some efforts to skew democracy. But right now, it’s the Republicans that are doing it a lot more.
